FTC Level 1 | FOUNDATIONS (50 Hrs)

COURSE OVERVIEW

Welcome to the LEVEL 1 CBC | FTC where we will guide you to experience, embody and integrate your body, mind, heart and spirit. We believe, together, we can make a difference in the world and co-create a harmonious environment for all people. Dance is a social and integrative practice that connects people. We believe that everybody can dance as well as everybody can facilitate a dance event. We are passionate about dance practice and moreover to endorse dance as a healing practice accessible to all.

Level 1 | Foundations, focuses the content of the course on the Soma; Body, Mind, Heart and Spirit with a special focus on the Body, Embodiment and Rituals for a coherent embodied experience as well as on the behaviors of Exploration and Orientation.

This course will offer you the fundamentals of embodied communication: deep listening to self and other, leadership / followship, inviting & being invited, boundaries, yes & no, clear intentions, creating clear beginnings and deciding clear endings, navigating disagreements, co-creation; a focus on the integration of Qigong, Cosmic Healing, Authentic Movement, Contact Improvisation, and Passing Through Level 1.

COURSE CURRICULUM

During the FTC LV1 – 50Hrs program, you will

• Cover the brief history of dance, choreography, improvisation, performance, contact improvisation,  authentic movement and dance movement therapy.
• Cover basic practice and history of Qigong and Cosmic Healing.
• Cover and practice the behaviours of Orientation and Exploration.
• Advancing Intuition and true inner feeling for discernment.
• Be introduced to the roots of CBC integrating diverse dance, healing and spiritual modalities.
• Knowing thyself by developing a profound presence, introspection and self-reflection.
• Be introduced to the body-mind-heart-spirit interrelationship,  by focusing on the body, embodiment and rituals.
• Understanding how to prepare your space of practice as well as how to create rituals and mandalas for your courses.
• Learn and practice how to be a facilitator to create and hold space for the CBC sessions.
• Learn and embody methods about transpersonal leadership, compassion and holding space.
• Practice and embody some of the most basic practices in contact improvisation technique, qigong exercises, meditation techniques and mindfulness.
• Learn how to create a safe space to know when to say YES and when to say NO by developing Core Integrity for oneself.
• Introduced to basic tips for creating a music lists for the CBC sessions.

DAILY SCHEDULE

Morning (9:30-13:00) practice in dance integrating healing and spirituality modalities.

Lunch Break

Afternoon (14:30-18:00) practice will be focused on facilitation and what to take in account for becoming an experienced and professional facilitator in CBC as well as develop any of your personal skills and abilities at your work environment.

PREREQUISITES

Who can join this course:

No prerequisite for Level 1

Anyone who is enthusiastic and passionate about dance, movement and healing modalities are welcome to join. However, when you apply for this course, we ask all of you to submit your brief background and a motivation letter, explaining why you wish to become a CBC Facilitator.

The investment includes:
Course Tuition, a CBC|FTC Facilitator’s Manual, Certificate, and one-to-one post course care.

The investment does not includes:
Food and accommodation during the course period unless it is stated by the organization. Extra costs will be applied for accommodation and food.

*Payment Plan is possible to pay in installments which can be arrange with the organisation.
*Deposit and tuition can be paid by bank transfer, stickytickets, paypal, or transferwise. We can guide you how to process the payment. (Please Note: Additional handling fee may charge depending on the payment option)
*The full payment for the course need to be completed within the specific dates coordinated by the organization. In the occasion you have arranged a payment plan with the organisation, the full payment will be completed according to the prearranged payment plan.
*Early bird and full course payment will be kept strictly on the dates stated unless it is arranged differently by the organisation.
*If you need to withdraw from the course after your registration, the Cancellation & Refund policy will be immediately applied. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions.

OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:

ACCOMMODATION

For FTC Level 1, accommodation & food will not be prepared by the organization during the course period unless it is stated. (Please check the event calendar)
However, if you need a support finding your accommodation, please let us know so we can advise you with few options.

TRAVELLING: PASSPORT, VISA & VACCINE

Please make sure that your passport must be valid more than 6 months after your arrival to the location where the course will be held.
Please double-check in advance if you need a visa to enter the country where the course will be held. The participants need to be responsible for taking care of their own visa, and the organizer will not be responsible for participants visa application.
Also, please make sure you are up-to-date on routine vaccines before your trip.
